The Granite Association for Gifted Children (GAGC) is an affiliate of the Utah Association for Gifted Children. We are a non-profit organization of parents, educators, and students dedicated to meeting the educational needs of gifted and talented children. We believe that all children deserve the opportunity for educational growth within our public school system. We are committed to supporting and improving gifted and talented education in Granite School District.

What resources can I investigate about gifted children?
There are so many resources for parents and educators. Find out what books and links can inform your educational and parenting decisions concerning your gifted child.
You can join the GAGCUtah discussion board (or send a blank e-mail to GAGCUtah-subscribe@yahoogroups.com) and the Utah Association for Gifted Children announcement board.UTAH_GIFTED, founded by Peggy Allred, a SENG parent from Murray, UT, is a great parent-to-parent resource in the form of a Yahoo! Group.
How can I become more involved in gifted education in GraniteSchool District?
You can become more involved in gifted education in GraniteSchool District by volunteering to become a Parent Liaison for your child's school. Each elementary and junior high school principal in Granite District has been asked to designate a Parent Liaison for Gifted/Talented Programs. This parent attends monthly meetings at the District Office. Read more here about what the Parent Liaisons do.
Also, you can come to GAGC meetings (schedule forthcoming) and volunteer to be a board memberor donate your time to special projects.
